The 19-year-old Palmeiras striker has also been targeted by Real
Madrid and City rival 'Manchester United' but the forward's agent has
confirmed that negotiations are progressing with Pep Guardiola's side.
Manchester City are in advanced negotiations to sign Palmeiras forward
Gabriel Jesus, according to the player's
agent.
The 19-year-old, who has also attracted
interest from Manchester United and Real
Madrid, won the Best Newcomer award for
his breakthrough season in Brazil last year
and is set to line up alongside Neymar at
this summer's Olympic Games.
Pep Guardiola who has already bolstered his
attacking options with the signing of Nolito
and is now leading the race for the Brazil
starlet.
"I can say that we are defining some
contractual issues [with Manchester City],
we are dealing with that," the forward's
agent, Cristiano Simoes said.
"With Manchester City we are very
advanced [in negotiations]. We'll see."
